Since 1949, The NWBA has worked tirelessly to create access to sport for people with disabilities. The game and athleticism is amazing to watch, but so is the transformation of the athletes who compete. Our youth division has been one of the greatest successes in the history of the NWBA. What started as a handful of teams in 1993 has evolved into 85 teams across the country (and growing). Our season culminates in National Championships. Some compete in our Collegiate Division and may go on to be Team USA Paralympians. What’s most important is that all of them are more equipped to compete in the game of life. We enjoy National Championships and Paralympic Medals, but what we value most are the life lessons that our sport instills. When we say that the NWBA is about improving quality of life for people with disabilities, this is what we mean. Thank you for any support that you are able to provide.
